TTG Consultants, the consulting division of The Transition Group, is a full-service Human Resource consulting firm based in Los Angeles. To better serve it's clients with global needs, TTG has become a member of OI Global Partners, a worldwide partnership of high-quality human resources consulting firms, with over 200 offices worldwide.The company's initial focus was on creating unique and cost-effective Outplacement Programs. Included were unlimited professional counseling without costly office services, flat-fee "career continuation" counseling for mid-level employees, and Opening New Doors® - the first stand-alone job-search/career-management system, costing only a fraction of traditional Outplacement. Opening New Doors® is used by many of the nation's leading corporations, including M&M Mars, Ernst & Young, Lockheed Martin, Olivetti, Showtime Networks, Sony, Tiffany and Unocal among many others. Client List In 1990, TTG developed several Organizational Development & Effectiveness programs using The Birkman Method® - an in-depth, broadly-based self-assessment tool. Selection and hiring, executive coaching, 360° assessment & performance appraisal, compensation/reward systems, career assessment, creating matrix and/or learning organizations, conflict resolution, high-performance teambuilding and succession planning/replacement have been particularly successful. Recently, various Corporate Training programs have been introduced, including entrepreneurism & innovation, quality improvement, customer responsiveness and supervisory training. In 1994, TTG began a Recruiting Services practice, including several cost-effective programs designed to quickly locate employees at all levels of an organization. In 2003, TTG introduced an extremely cost-effective, on-line program titled, It's Your Career® -- Power It!, which addresses the Three Critical Elements of an Effective Job-Search: Self Assessment, Resume Writing and Interviewing/ Negotiating. In 2003, TTG introduced It's Your Career® -- Advance It!, an On-Line training program for internal corporate career development. This discusses Understanding Change & Profiting From It; Understanding One's Interests, Strengths, Needs and Stresses for Career Advancement; The Importance of Internal Networking & Politics; Succeeding in the "New" Workplace; Skills Development, Self-Marketing and Career Transition Inside the Organization; Selling Yourself & Your Ideas to Others. In 2005, TTG introduced You're In Charge of You®, an inexpensive "boxed" job-search tutorial with an Audio CD and an Action Guide/Handbook. The programs discusses the seven essential steps in the re-employmeny process: career and self assessment, resume writing, interviewing, negotiating, researching, networking, and working with employment agencies. TTG is at the cutting edge of new technologies, with E-VideoCoaching®, an internet-based "live" one-on-one audio and video program for distance Outplacement and Executive Coaching. We also offer internet-based, real-time, web seminars, E-VideoSeminars® with excellent "live" audio, video and Q&A capability. Other recently developed programs include Sexual Harassment Prevention In The Workplace and Workplace Violence Prevention - each program having two versions: management and non-management (for all employees). In addition, TTG is developing several other Internet-based audio/video and interactive, as well as "Audio CD with Handbook" programs such as "'It's Your Career® - Manage It!" - for both the corporate and retail markets. David Bowman, CEO of TTG Consultants, is co-author of the popular book, How Do I Find The Right Job? Ask The Experts!, published by John Wiley & Sons, New York. He also often comments on workplace issues in periodicals and on radio/TV talk shows.
